Advice and General Conditions – Franco Nepal Treks

PRICES

On simple request we will inform you of the prices of each trek.
If for a reason beyond our control, the duration of the trek is longer than expected, you will be charged an additional fee.
All included and non-included services are detailed for each trek. prices are in US dollars (our reference currency)

PAYMENT

We require a deposit of 200 US dollars at the time of registration which will constitute an effective reservation.
The balance of the stay will be paid in cash, in dollars or euros (current exchange rate) upon your arrival in Kathmandu, before departure on the trek.
If you cancel more than 30 days before the departure date, 50% of your deposit will be returned. And less than 30 days, the deposit will be kept in full.

RESERVATIONS

All reservations will be made by email, in return we will send you all the documents necessary for your stay to go smoothly.

INSURANCE

It is imperative to take out insurance covering medical repatriation, mountain research, guaranteeing the possible use of helicopter evacuation. (which covers €3,500 minimum)
If certain medical or other expenses are not covered by insurance, these expenses remain your responsibility, under no circumstances will the agency bear them.
You will be asked for a certificate when you arrive in Kathmandu.

VISAS FORMALITIES

Your passport must be valid for 6 months on the return date. Check this point carefully!!
You can obtain a visa upon arrival at Kathmandu airport.
The rate is $25 for a 15-day stay, and $40 for 30 days. Payment is made in US dollars or Euros, or in Nepalese rupees.
To provide: passport valid for 6 months after the return date, and 1 ID photo. Don’t forget!!
Apply for a multiple visa if necessary (if you plan to leave Nepal to go to India, Bhutan, Tibet, etc.).
Important: Check carefully that the competent authorities have affixed the stamp attesting to your authorization for the requested length of stay. It may happen that they forget: Your visa is then not valid!!!
Plan at least 1 or 2 days before and 2 days after your trek!! In Nepal, Unforeseen events are sometimes part of traveling!!

TREKS PERMIT – To obtain it, upon your arrival you will send us:

a photocopy of your passport.
As well as 2 identity photos.
