Mohan was our guide for the Gokyo/Everest trek from 21 October to 8 November 2009. We did a second trek in Langtang/Gosainkunda from 7 to 20 November 2011. We walked a few days with him and his group in the Annapurnas in November 2014. He speaks French very well and knows our way of life! During the treks he pays close attention to our pace, our meals, our showers, our sleep and how we cope with the altitude. He likes to tell us about the life of Nepali people, their culture and the different religions. He gives us the names of the rivers we cross, the mountains around us and the villages, and shows us everything there is to see along the way.

He is always available and a good guide in Kathmandu too. Every evening during the trek, we review the day and go over the next day’s plan. His porters are just as caring, willing and cheerful. Mohan gives us confidence, and I hope to do many more treks with him and his team.

I have done many treks (Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Sanctuary, Langtang-Helambu) with Mohan as my guide. I also visited his village, Badel, in the south of Nepal (a trek of about 10-11 days). That one was fabulous: I went through villages that never see tourists, nor women with short hair, let alone wearing trousers!… imagine… I laughed a lot and had many exchanges with these very warm, welcoming people. It was moving. I have very good memories of it.

I have always been very satisfied. Mohan has professionalism and perfect organisation, the team he chooses is always very friendly, and the route is always planned around the participants. Everything is top-notch. He is very available, friendly, reliable and competent. He speaks French very well. We have hosted him in France a few times so that he could improve his French. In May 2013 we did the Tamang Heritage Trail followed by the Langtang trek: we loved this mix of mid and high mountains. Beautiful villages, serious walking that stays accessible (5 to 6 hours a day), broken up by very pleasant breaks in breathtaking scenery, all perfectly explained by Mohan (who also has an extraordinary knowledge of the local flora and fauna). We plan to go back as soon as possible, with our children, who will soon have enough stamina! We recommend the treks, the season and our guide Mohan: reliable, responsible, friendly, and he speaks good French! We will be back!
