The itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu – Chisapani (1,350–2,150 m), 45 minutes by private vehicle to Sundarijal, then about 5½ hours of walking to Chisapani.
Day 02: Chisapani – Nagarkot (2,150–2,200 m), 7 hours of walking.
Day 03: Nagarkot – Dhulikhel (2,200–1,500 m), 5 hours of walking.
Day 04: Dhulikhel – Namobuddha (1,500–1,800 m), 4 hours of walking.
Day 05: Namobuddha – Kathmandu. About 3½ hours of walking to Panauti (Panauti and Bhaktapur are historic towns to discover), then in the late afternoon, return to Kathmandu by private vehicle, a 45-minute drive.

Best time to go
Almost all year round except the monsoon (June to September). Winter is excellent: clear skies and empty trails.
